It's hard to miss and always packed when you're hungry but that is every place that sells pizza. As far as deep dish joints go this place is your standard family owned pizza place with plenty of seating, great pizza and they don't take reservations. So either avoid going during your favorite meal times (dinner) and you'll be solid. Other than that it took them fifteen to twenty minutes to seat a party of eight and two of us came late.
Why you should go here
Easy, you want some great deep dish pizza and you don't want to fly to SF to go to Zachary's. If you don't want drive here or if you hate traffic; it is a trek from Orange County (where I am from) then it is not an end all be all pizza place. But if you love deep dish pizza and you are in the neighborhood. I would visit. Even if it is just to take something to go.
This post is not restaurant heavy, sorry about that. I'm usually much better, but here are some pictures I took outside the joint. There's a nice purple wall that serves as a great backdrop for any aspiring bands who want to replicate a Weezer album and call it the "Purple Album".
